Message from Principal Maldonado

If you’re stopping by our website, I want you to know how incredibly proud I am of the work happening at Lovell Elementary.

One of the first things you will notice about our school is our culture and climate. From the moment you walk through our doors, you will feel loved. Love at Lovell shows up in smiles, music, and warm greetings — but also in high expectations. We believe pushing students to be their best is an act of care, because we see potential in every child and every teammate.

This year, every interaction matters. Every lesson is a building block. Our theme, Building Our Way to an A, reflects our commitment to growth, belonging, and excellence. As we continue to strengthen instruction, invest in relationships, and partner with families, fun remains part of our DNA. We want students to feel connected, celebrated, and proud to be Wildcats.

Together, we are building something special — brick by brick.

With gratitude,

Yashira Maldonado

Principal, Lovell Elementary

What We Offer at Lovell Elementary

Arts & Enrichment: Students have opportunities to explore their creativity through chorus and an after-school musical program that builds confidence and teamwork.

Extended Learning: Through our partnership with Champions and an additional instructional hour during the school day, students receive targeted intervention and enrichment based on their needs.

Character & Belonging: All students are part of our schoolwide house system, which promotes character development, leadership, school pride, and service to the community.

Inclusive Learning Community: Lovell is a true community school. Our campus includes a Head Start program for our youngest learners and classrooms for exceptional learners, including ASD programs. Students grow up learning that growth looks different for everyone — and that everyone belongs.

Community Partnerships: We collaborate with community partners to create meaningful experiences, including a science-themed Trunk or Treat with over 300 families and enhanced outdoor learning spaces designed for student engagement.

Real-World Learning: Through events like Teach-In Day, students explore future careers and see how learning connects to real-world opportunities in fields such as technology, aviation, and public service.
